I hadn't been inside this Best Buy for a few years. I really like their Nintendo Switch demo station. I was able to play the demo without employees bothering me. I might come back to try another game or two as I continue contemplating buying a Nintendo Switch.

Store was clean and staff was professional.

They do not honor their price tags. I went in to purchase a mouse and found one priced at $29, while the same model in black was marked at $24. However, when I went to pay, the price came up as $125. The manager refused to honor the price on the label and only offered a 10% discount. This was especially disappointing, as I had spent nearly $2,000 less than a month ago on a gaming PC. I was also planning to buy a new monitor there, but now I’ll look elsewhere and avoid this Best Buy in the future.

While I still disagree strong with Best Buys policy at the corporate level regarding canceling orders and pre orders, I do know that is not the staff or the managers decision.

The store is fine. But if you would like to speak to anyone over the phone, the brain dead people in the upper echelons of the company have decided to pay for a call center rather than let you call the store directly! So if you have a question about something and would like to speak with the person you were dealing with, at the store, it is impossible, instead you get some random person from god knows where to tell you some generic BS that doesn't help at all.

I miss Future Shop! Best Buy is poorly run and the lighting in the store makes you feel cold!

Terrible customer service.

According to Google, Best Buy encourages it's salespeople to upsell.
I went to pick something up that was on sale for a friend. I showed salesperson number 1 my cell phone. The BB website with the thing I wanted was clearly displayed. He took me to an aisle and tried to sell me something more expensive. He said it was better than the thing I asked for. I texted my friend. My friend said no, he didn't want the more expensive thing. I found another salesman who took me to a different aisle and showed me something else. Less expensive than the number 1 suggestion, but still more expensive than what my friend was asking me to pick up. I texted my friend. He told me that according to the website there were 2 in stock. I went back to salesman number 2 and told him that my friend says there are 2 in stock according to the website. Finally he goes to the back and brings one out. He seemed to think it was all jolly good fun. Meanwhile I'd spent half an hour for something that should have taken 5 minutes. Trying to sell me stuff I don't want and wasting my time? This is not good customer service. New name for you guys: Worst Buy.

When you don't want anything, you will be harassed by at least 4 employees seeing if they can help you. However, when you actually want something they will walk clean past without even a hello. I stood by the watches for 10 minutes and was walked past 3 times. Guess I'm buying it from Amazon now.

I went in today to buy a controller and a microphone for my gaming laptop. I spoke with a man named Tristen who answered all of my questions and was incredibly helpful and respectful. Him and I ended up discussing different options for a full hour and he was very patient the whole time. We settled on a good microphone and he directed me to a controller that he could order in and deliver directly to my house from the website. He knew his stuff and it was great to talk to an expert who wasn’t trying to upsell me.

Go up
