Degroot Custom homes is hands down one of my favourite home builders to work for. Tim and his crew are very organized, pay a-lot of attention to detail and do not take any short cuts. When you show up on his sites they are clean, everyone is friendly and happy to be there. That may not seem like much but I have worked in Kelowna for 21 years doing concrete and have dealt with many companies that do not do this and it can be a nightmare. When Tim lines up work for my company he hits all his dates that he gives and the bills get paid on time. If you are looking to have your house upgraded or looking to build new I would highly recommend Degroot homes.

I procured Tim's services to have a carriage house built after I saw him complete a project for my friends in town. I was on a pretty limited budget with ambitious goals and really I don't think any other outfit could have done this with my budget constraints.

What I liked about working with Tim:

I never felt like I was getting the run around, everything was relatively simple and felt honest. The process was fairly informal and Tim was always a quick call or text away. I recently had some freezing pipes; texted Tim at 7:30am and he was at my house less than 2 hours later.

I was consulted and given options throughout the various stages of the build. He was patient with all my questions and would give me recommendations, solutions or options. A great indicator is all the trades spoke highly of Tim when he was not around. When he was on site he would work hard, check other's work, give someone a talking to for being too messy...etc. His attention to detail and positive reputation with others gave me confidence in the quality of his work and the product I would receive.

I would recommend Tim as a builder.
