Amazing hotel. Has a pub with pool and darts, Timmys across the road, pipers next door and just two minutes down the road is a bowling/simulation golf/ arcade/ food/ bar place called Riverdale bowling. It was so easy to keep busy in this area. The staff hear were so friendly and helpful. They had no problem taking the time to talk to us and hear about our days adventures. Comfy beds and great atmosphere.

Happened upon this little spot while touring the island on our holidays and so happy we stayed here. Our host Aaron was very accommodating and served our every need. I have never felt so comfortable and felt like family during our stay. The rooms are clean, the beds are so comfortable , and the service we had was outstanding. I highly recommend you give this little gem a visit and stay a while. Thank you Aaron for the amazing customer service.

Came here for work. Not a super fancy establishment, but relatively comfortable and clean.

Room was very clean. There was a long black hair stuck to the shower wall, but otherwise it was very clean. Cleaner than most motels I've stayed in.

Location is decent if you're passing through and staying just one night with a decent selection of fast food options nearby. Otherwise, there's not much in the area to do activity-wise and for finer dining.

The room is off of a fairly busy road, so the traffic is a bit loud. I'm not a light sleeper, so I was unaffected by the noise. Also, the street lights are quite bright outside the room I had, so if you're sensitive to light when trying to sleep, consider bringing a blindfold.

Staff at the front desk and bar were very friendly and helpful. No issues with the service.

I had a small safety concern: my room had a door that could be accessed from outside the building and another door from within the building. The door for outside access has a locking handle and deadbolt. In contrast, the door from within the building only has a locking handle and chain, which often do not have very reliable locks. Somebody tried to get inside my room by the inside door. I had the chain across, but saw it had been pushed open when I was reading on the bed with my headphones on. I believe it was a drunk coworker trying to get me to join him in the bar, but it still had me concerned enough the try blocking the door with a chair. I'd suggest the motel consider getting deadbolts the doors inside the motel as well as the doors that connect to outside.

What a disappointment. As friendly as the person was at the front desk , it did not make up for the rest. We had the “ocean view” suite. First of all, shame on Expedia and this hotel for allowing them to claim its ocean view. The only window was in the bathroom and you would need to be right up against the window to see a slight glimpse of the water. The room itself had NO window, it was like a bunker. The bed was lumpy and too soft. The sheets were among the cheapest quality I’ve ever seen. The pillow was extremely lumpy and unusable. The room.. oh wait they called it a suite, had no TV service. The listing did not disclose it was on the second floor and with no elevator. Last disappointment was the rate we paid … over $385 CN for one night. Even if this rate was half, I do not recommend staying here.

I couldn't see the seaside in the seaside room that was offered and that I asked for on booking. The room was large and pleasant. Bathroom was beautiful, but the toilet wobbles. Thankful for all the tea provided but wondered why there were no coffee pouches for the coffee maker. Trying to hang some clothing items I found both hangers were broken. Sometimes it took several attempts to get the code in the outer room door handle to work so I could get in the room. The older man in charge was kind, the young man gave good driving instructions.

Just had a one night stay as we travelled the east coast. Was comfortable and clean. Nothing fancy but had all you need. The only thing was at 11 ish everyone goes home and if you need anything in the morning there is no staff.

Newfound Inns and Suites (was Sunset Motel). I stayed here (Conception Bay South) in 2017 and booked in again for four nights. This is still a decent and affordable quiet motel at $644 for four nights.|Use Google Maps and see that you are less than thirty minutes from downtown St John’s, and even less to Mount Pearl, where I have done a great deal of shopping from hardware and specialty stores.|I will stay here next time I visit St John’s, but will bring my own cake of soap (the sliver provided is almost too small for my hands to grip) and will purchase a carton of milk for my tea.|Major caveat: The bath/shower in my room was slippery; there are no “grip strips” to engage the feet; I got scared twice too often.

What a beautiful, stunning location, clean, beautiful rooms. The beds are so comfortable and the rooms have all the amenities and are very modern. You have everything you need including a coffee shop, gas station, grocery store and things to do within walking distance. Close distance to Downtown St. John’s. You cannot beat the price with the quality of the rooms and service! Highly recommend.
