Staff are very helpful , & store is tidier, but prices overall are still overpriced! I know the money goes to charity but you are getting these items donated, people who buy there are generally on a budget as well
So let's be realistic in fair pricing if you want to move inventory then be prepared to haggle bit as we are moving out the inventory.you should have markdown sales events & you will get better public interest

That used to be my go-to place for just about everything. And then they moved to the new location. I have gotten a couple lights at very good prices. That would have cost me a lot more Elsewhere. For that I am extremely thankful. But what I don't like now is the price they have for the furniture that's been donated is very very pricey. Why the heck would I want to pay $600 for a two-seater couch. And there was a sink there used, stainless steel, for wait for it 350 bucks. There was nothing great about it it was a stainless steel sink. I can go get a brand new one for 200. Unfortunately I have lost my faith and don't want to go back. The last three times I've been back to try to find things, the new prices just made me turn around and walk out the door. And go to a store and buy it brand new. Pretty sure that is not what Habitat for Humanity is for. I do find there new pricing Way Beyond what I think it should be for something that was donated. I know the rent has to be paid, a most likely a heck of a lot more where they are now, but why should I be paying for it.

We use to shop at the old location all the time, now we find it well over priced for donated goods.
It goes to a good cause yes, however their price points are outrageous, you might better buy new and pay a little extra.
The store is so disorganized as well (yuck)
We've been in the ones in toronto area and Ottawa their prices and store cleanliness are amazing

Super disappointed in the $75 delivery charge for already over priced second hand pieces. Not affordable anymore, making it easier for people to buy new rather than reuse and repurpose. Won't be donating there either as I'd rather give away or donate to a store that makes second hand accessible and affordable.

Had them pickup furniture donation and driver gave us slip with a value of $1955 and the tax receipt would be forwarded. We never received the tax receipt after multiple texts with Thomas over a six month period telling us he would check and then the tax receipt had been sent. Nothing was ever received even after making sure he had the correct address multiple times.

Since moving the prices and deals have disappeared. Sure some items can be good but more and more each visit is pointless. The younger lead foreman has a brutally disrespectful attitude and I will no longer donate. We donated quite a bit over the years and at the end of the day it doesn't matter and its evident with their attitudes now. The old location had a more personable feel to it and the new one isnt like the old. It meant a lot holding items until I could get in to the shop at the end of day. Not many of the old guard are present at new site. More overhead, shift in practices such as bringing inventory from Toronto, more management, means higher prices that IMO don't ad up.

Buyers beware! They don't refund or exchange even
when they sell you a faulty product.They sold me "new" finger jointed pine door jams that were confirmed by a professional contractor to be old, dried out and cracked. Despite having a receipt, they would not even give me store credit for the faulty product which they are now going to sell to the next unsuspecting customer. It seems that the Habitat "charity" does not extend to the people who are
ctually supporting their organization by shopping at the Restore.
