Poor customer service. Right off the check-in, the attendant asked why I was reading what she asked me to sign. She said it's only a sign in request what's the problem? Attitude overload.|Restraunt service? Deplorable. Waited 45 minutes for our food and it wasn't even busy. Food was good but by that time our drink glass was empty and waitress didn't even notice. |Nobody came back to ask if we wanted coffee or desert or even suggested we needed to pay at the front desk. |And, lastly, we were in a fishing community where one would expect to be treated to a delicious seafood meal. Guess what? No codfish. That was the last straw.|I've been to Harbour Breton twice...first time and last time.|But Mother Nature didn't disappoint.

😢: A lot more detail needs to go into housekeeping. The heater in the bathroom was coated with dust and hair, there was hair on the tub, the shower looked like it hadn't been washed down in a while, drapes and valance needed to be vacuumed. Comfort height toilets would also be a good idea..

We spent one night here in May, 2017. At first I thought it would be a small town hotel with not so great services. I was mistaken! The hotel has been recently renovated and it is absolutely beautiful. The room was clean and bright. The bathroom was clean and large. The room was large enough for 4 adults. The beds were AMAZING! Maybe the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! We ate in the restaurant for supper and the food was delicious - homemade style. The complimentary breakfast was fine with toast, instant oatmeal, tea, coffee, juice, muffins, bagels, etc. I would have liked to have had fruit and yoghurt though. But all in all it was a very comfortable night! Definitely a great place to stay!

We stayed in the blue Chalet and it was great. Everything is there that you would need. even had sugar and Tim Horton coffee! very comfortable beds, good size living room-Kitchen setup.|Free WiFi worked great and staff was ever so nice. Couldn't ask for better. The owners Bill and Tracie went out of their way to help us with everything. We had one dinner at the restaurant and the food was very tasty. One night, Tracie cooked us Lobster and what a meal that was.|thanks for 5 perfect nights.

My family and I visited Harbour Breton without hotel reservations and did not know what to expect in the way of accommodation. What a treat to find this hotel! The room, with two queens, was clean and comfortable and my daughter and her family stayed in one of the three new chalets, which was spotless, and looked as if they were the first to stay there. Unfortunately we only had one night there, but are planning a longer trip next summer. The in house restaurant and pizza shop was also utilized by us, and we were all pleased with our choice of meals. We will see you again! Oh yes, they're smoke free, which is very important to us.

The Southern Port Hotel was great! It was centrally located within Harbour Breton. Walking distance from the stadium, foodland, hospital, Robin's, and the dollar store.

The staff was friendly and the rooms were well maintained and clean. The television in the room had a Roku, so it was easy to access our own Netflix or other streaming services.

The restaurant on site was good! It was a Greco and a pub style place. Overall, it was a wonderful home base during our adventures on the Connaigre Peninsula.

Comfortable mattress, decent WiFi service in the relatively spacious room. Small fridge and coffee maker- ample space to spread out. Restaurant attached- had dinner there- reasonable portions and good quality. Continental breakfast available in the morning. Would return.
