The new store is beautiful, and I personally find it much easier to find what I need! The reason I’m only giving it 4 stars is because there’s no houseplant section like the Charlottetown store has!! Fingers crossed they will start to offer house plants in the winter when the greenhouse is clear of seasonal plants…. Will definitely
change my review if that’s the case!

Took 1 hour to get 30 pieces of wood that got mixed up and we had to go back in 3 times to fix the problem and than it still was not fixed. We even bought more because they had a deal with air miles if you spend over 300 hundred. We were just under so we bought some more.
When it was all said and done because they cancelled our order for a few things than redid it and we lost the the air miles. This kind of stuff happens when we go to summerside Kent every time. They are very lost on what they are doing and although they try to help they always mix it up. Not happy with this Summerside company at all.

Today, my wife and I were at the sales desk in the brand new KENT Store in Summerside. The help we received was fine, the sales associates were nice, but the conversation between the two sales associates and my wife and I kept being repeatedly interrupted by the two sales associates speaking a foreign language between the two of them. I very much dislike being excluded from a conversation and found this unacceptable. We were not able to understand what they were saying. As inclusive as I am, I would surmise that the two sales associates find this perfectly acceptable. Well, I do not!
It's rude and socially inept. Please work on this with your staff.

Recently I met with the install people to have a look at a number of our windows, a promise from them to come out in about a week to do an estimate. No phone calls back and did not show up to do the estimate. About 2 weeks ago they promised to have someone do an estimate for a small roof reshingle, again I was disappointed that no one would even call. We have had to get someone else to do the job. I don't mind that people would turn down jobs when they are too busy, but if you make a promise, you should keep it. Waiting on non existing phone calls puts our projects behind. We will have larger projects in the near future. We will go with local contractors from here on.

In-store staff are always amazing and are always helpful. BUT..

Today i went to return a dinged interior door which i did not notice when i pick up from their warehouse maybe because it was partially covered by a strap.
The warehouse manager was being rude from the start and started throwing me accusations that it was possibly me who damaged it and making remarks that i was lying to him, like their staff are perfect and would not damage any of their inventory at the warehouse, as if their warehouse are very organized. And told me they would not replace it because i picked it up from warehouse and not delivered by them to my house.

Terrible customer service coming from a warehouse "manager" Won't be buying anything from this warehouse ever again.

So Tuesday I went to KENT Summerside to look at dishwashers. I was greeted by Gail the appliance sales specialist. Gail was very helpful, and answered all my questions. There was a Bosch dishwasher but it was white and I was looking for a stainless steel dishwasher.
Gail said 'I'm pretty sure we do have that in stainless steel as well, let me check". I asked about delivery, Gail said delivery is $50 but we are having a promotion and it's free for a limited time. I told Gail I would check with my plumber to see if he was available to install it and I would be back.
Wednesday I went back to KENT SUMMERSIDE
I saw Gail, bought the dishwasher and the extended warranty. I asked Gail when will they deliver the dishwasher. She said probably Friday but maybe Monday. Oh yeah I've heard that one before 😏.
Friday morning I had to pick up a few things in Summerside. So I stopped in the Kent store and asked Gail if they would be delivering the dishwasher today. She said yes as far as I know I said. "Do you know what time? She said no but it will be today. I said okay." Wouldn't you know it? I arrived home and one hour later the truck backed up to the house and it was delivered. I have never in my entire life purchased a kitchen appliance and had it delivered that quickly. Never on the mainland and never on Prince Edward Island. I'm amazed. Best service I've had in a long time. Keep up the good work. Gail and the crew of Kent Summerside.

It's a nice new, clean store. My return experience was great. But their Rainfresh product selection is really lacking.
