Excellent stay, very nice modernized rooms. Clean and comfortable, motel owners very friendly and accommodating. Even let us drenched to the bone bikers use their laundry dryer. Stayed twice, once on the way up to Alaska and once again on our way home.

Quiet stay with easy check-in and parking. The room was cute and nicely decorated, and I loved the kitchenette. Clean and fresh throughout. Good WiFi too! Would stay again.

I arrived at Fort Nelson and decided to get a room there for the night on the way to Alaska. Upon arrival Gurjeet Was working the desk with his wife. They were both extremely friendly. The rate was exceptionally good. The room was very clean. I always check for bedbugs, etc., and found nothing! The room was very clean well stocked with towels and washcloths. Everything was in working order. If I ever Travel the Alcan Highway again I will plan a stop and hopefully be able to get a room at this motel six.. Gurjeet And his wife are a definite asset to not only Motel 6, but the hotel industry in general. It was very obvious that they took pride to provide a clean safe environment, and they should be rewarded for their above and beyond friendliness and attention to detail. Don't hesitate for a minute to make a reservation there if you're passing through

**Beware of Hidden Fees and Poor Service**

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Upon arrival, the advertised rate of $94/night mysteriously jumped to $106 because we checked in after hours. I had two dogs, and despite paying a $50 pet fee, I was later hit with an additional $20 charge for "dog hair" in the room. When I called to question the charge, the staff initially accused me of having "blood on the sheets" before realizing they had the wrong room—yet that room was also charged $20 for the same reason. It seems like they tack on extra fees to every guest for anything they can find.

Beyond the shady billing practices, the hotel itself is terrible—poor internet, outdated rooms, and overall low quality. You’ll pay more here than at the Super 8 next door, which offers a far better stay. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere else.

For the same price as a nice hotel, It was a disgusting dump!!!

These photos were on arrival as I was appalled at the state of the room and was not being charged for their neglect.

We called every hotel in Fort Nelson last minute and could not get a room. We called Motel 6 and the lady was quite rude, no customer service. She said she had a room for us and proceeded to hang up before we were finished talking.

Since we had no other options. We showed up. She was outside chatting and what looked like the entire family then pulled up and were living on site.

We finished booking in. Opened the door, beds were made and it smelled like the floor had been bleached. Looked around and every single wall had dirty hand prints all over it. The shower was full of scum and the tub stopper was nasty. Broken mirrors, a single coffee maker, and some packets thrown down for amenities.

The blankets were cheap, thin, cold, and felt like we were sleeping under a sheet.

The memo posted in the rooms of cleanliness and pet hair...... They will nickel and dime you but are too lazy to actually use that money to clean the rooms for the next guests.

They say 90$ for a night but will change the price and charge you otherwise.....

Even a motel, or any business that offers a public service, should have standards.

We slept the least amount of time possible so that we could leave and get to our next enjoyable destination.

I recommend calling ahead to the higher-end hotels and paying the same price there. Or just skip this town completely.
