Pragmatically speaking, I have always believed that the world would be a better place if we were all a little Christian – I apologize to anyone who might be offended by such a remark. Since my visit to the Am Shalom Synagogue in Barrie, I have also come to believe that the world would be a better place if we were all a little Jewish. I was warmly welcomed as a Visitor, and I heard many messages about justice, equality, and how people should treat one another. The Torah, the rolled transcripts of Moses that are deemed most sacred, contains some 613 commandments. With positive energy throughout the service, and a gifted voice, Rabbi Audrey guided everyone through prayer and songs, often with a piano in the background. I am grateful for this special experience. (As a place of worship, there was only one anomaly; a police cruiser was parked outside the door and two officers were stationed in the lobby – how sad that this has become necessary.)

I can’t wait to go there i spoke to rabbi and I can honestly feel the warmth from her thru the phone as she speaks never felt that before can’t wait to be one with this synagogue
