It was the second worst shelter I have ever stayed at. Staff play obvious favourites, and I believe if they actually put the proper effort into their jobs, less of the youth leaving there would end up dead.

stayed here in 2022 - other than Natalie, a staff whom targeted me on multiple occasions (while other residents were let off scot free) it was a pretty nice place to stay and a good experience. homey vibe, rooms are a little cramped, rules are a bit strict but much better than being out in Barrie snow lol

I was a Westminster Walker for the first time for Youth Havens coldest night of the year fund raiser and I have to say it was such a well organized, fun night. The volunteers kept cheering us on and they provided food and drinks for everyone participating. We were safe with police escorts or presence, even the weather was cooperating. I walk with a cane so I was particularly glad about that.The entire event was so uplifting that the 5 k walk seemed like a short walk around the block.Congratulations to everyone who participated in this important event.Together and alone WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

When I lived at Youth Haven in 2014, the staff were supportive and caring, and on one occasion, a student staff stayed until past midnight to talk to me about my struggles and sexuality, missing his bus home. Christine has been a phenomenal worker, and she still offers me support to this day. I am grateful to have Youth Haven to help me.

I stayed in youth haven when I was younger. The staff was friendly and made it seem normal to the start of the day to the end with a roof over my head. Nicole is amazing and loving. And all donations are accepted, sometime people just need that extra love to see what they're to do in life.

In my experience Yourh Haven staff do not have the capacity to deal with the problems faced by today's yourh homelessness crisis.
Staff seem overwhelmed and insensitive, forcing all occupants to "County Rules" when few break the rules .
Theft within the house appears to be tollerated and a locked storage area is not monitored properly.
Staff takes full advantage of donations before occupants are made aware of them.
A full reshuffle of staff is absolutely required at this facility.

This place is really crooked considering some of the staff take the donations for themselves. Some of the other staff on the other hand have helped me bigtime and want better for the residents! Caring people who deserve to have a placement in looking after these residents needs to be checked on I've seen staff treat homeless like they are no one, but again it's a shelter so expect the worst I guess

Ten years ago I stayed at youth haven. I loved all of the staff. Especially natalie and I think tim. They tried very hard helping me to get on my feet. I will never forget the kindness I felt from them. And the one time tim tried making peanut butter cookies and failed. But they still tasted good lol .
