I got kicked out of the only place where someone actually understood my situation and kindly let me stay, trusting that I would pay later once I got support - all because of them and they didn't even care or offered any kind of help not even at least helping finding a shelter.

Alberta Supports as an organization is callous and indifferent - useless.

Don't bother trying to get income support from them. If you can't work, better to try EI or disability programs. If you can work, just talk with a staffing agency.

They are not there for Albertans. Well, at least not white males. I can't speak for other demographics.

These people will try anything to deny you access to income support. Rotten.

Go in for help and support figuring out my kids health insurance coverage and get told to go home and call a phone number for help. And them to tell me that I didn't call and called the wrong place and that my kids should be covered. Then why am I paying out of pocket then. Supposed support center supposed to help people who and are on supports but won't deal with people in person.
