Was visiting St. Jacobs with my mother and stopped in. My mother needed to use the washroom and one was labelled “patrons” so figured it was fine to use. As she opened the door a woman working in one of the booths said it was only for paying customers to use which my mother said “it says patrons” and the woman replied “you could buy an $800 painting”. This woman was the only other person in the building and while she did point to the direction of a public washroom in the area her attitude was entirely off putting. We may have been customers after using the facilities and getting a chance to look around but to ask someone to leave or hold it until they buy a painting is ridiculous. As the website mentions this is a centre for community it sure did not feel like it.

Beautiful little collection of art located in the heart of St. Jacobs. House is rustic modern and houses many different cubicles of many different style artists and their works. At the back of the building is an area that can be rented for events and this area is stunning with its retro vibe. Would visit again

Really impressive artists cooperative within an indoor boutiques mall. The principal shop keeper was engaging and helpful. The artists are mainly present in the afternoons .

Unfortunately today I experienced a very colonial and racist interaction with staff members on their social media page.

Who took to insulting not only my community, but my name as well.

Absolutely do not recommend this place as a safe or cultural space for Indigenous people in Canada.

Originally they named their organization the three sisters cultural centre. After several years of concerns raised over the name with local Indigenous community members they finally changed it.

Then they started hosting Indigenous programming, but have been bringing in folks who are not actually Indigenous to Canada and are not accurately or correctly advertising this. Taking space from legitimate Indigenous people with lived experience.

We came with our Girl Guide unit and the kids had a blast.

The staff are wonderful and so kind. Great place to get local art.

I am wondering where you got the name 3 sisters culture centre from. I am First Nation and the story of the 3 sisters is part of our history.
