An associate showed to my door asking for donations, I always listen to their sales pitch and hear them out . First question I always ask is , are you for "none profit" which always determines if I'll consider donating. The associate replied " yes" we are none profit but at the same time he slips up and says he's being paid, I said wait a minute you just said you are none profit. After a back and forth he admitted he's just trying to make a living. Too bad he decided to lie , kinda leave a stain on an organization that's trying to help ppl.

SUCH A BIG SCAM. The other day, an Indian girl came to our door asking for a donation for the company. It's for a good cause so we wanted to help. She said never donate with cash and asked for card. She processed the payment, and we thought that was it. But a month later, we noticed another charge on his card. She never mentioned anything about storing his card details, and we definitely didn’t authorize it.

We really care about giving to good causes, and helping out is something that’s always been important to us. But what this company did was just wrong. When we called to figure it out, the person who answered was rude and dismissive. they didn't refund or anything.

Me and my friend were just walking the dog and was approached by two teenage boys trying to convince us to sign up for their donation program. They attempted to guilt us into donating by telling us how many children died as we were talking. I told them repeatedly that I do not have a stable income and cannot afford to donate to any charities right now. He continues to guilt and push for us to sign up for at least 5 minutes until we walked away.

Recently, someone came to my door asking for a donation on behalf of a company. I was surprised, but my wife suggested we contribute, so I decided to donate and provided my card details. The person processed the payment, but a month later, I noticed another charge on my card. I never authorized them to store my card details, and the person who collected the donation didn’t mention anything about this.

I love making donations, and social work has always been an important part of my life. However, what they did is unacceptable, and I’ve seen many others frustrated with this company.

When I called to address the issue, the person who answered was rude. I asked for a refund, and he said he’d check with his manager but couldn’t guarantee it. I feel scammed and disappointed with this organization they are not doing good work for the Canadian community. Be cautious when donating to them.

DO NOT DONATE! This company is a scam - do not answer the door or slam the door on them if you get tricked in opening the door. You will never get to speak to a real person who can help you get off their mailing list and they try and trick into donating by recording your conversation while at the door! The BS marketing makes you think your money is helping, but ends up in the pockets of those running this organization.

Obviously a great cause and that’s why I made a donation. However after I did they immediately started calling and emailing me multiple times a day looking for more donations. It got so bad that I had to block them. I also believe they sold my personal information to more charities because ever since I made my donation I receive mail from SO MANY charities I’ve never even heard of looking for donations. Literally almost every day I get mail from another charity.

Lady came to my door and started off very sweet. They hook you emotionally by telling you how kids without birth certificates are more likely to experience XYZ problems, etc.

I told her I'll make a one time donation online however she seemed more worried about her commission than 'Saving the Children'. After telling me I can call in and have it cancelled I agreed to sign up through her for the monthly plan.

When everything was done she said I can't cancel until two weeks after which was a complete lie!

Solution: Do NOT waste your time calling them, they won't pick up. Immediately call your credit card company and cancel your card to have them send in a new one. (Worked for me as an RBC client)

Stay away from this charity. Dishonest malicious workers and the cancelling with them is a nightmare.
