I joined HIABC in November 2021 when I decided to transition my career from Petroleum Engineering to Home Inspections, and the HIABC training program was recommended to me as one of the best in the industry. I must say that from the very beginning I was impressed by quality of the online teaching, well structured exams and also dedication of field training instructors that do their best to offer candidates a high level of exposure to various challenging home conditions.
HIABC office staff is very professional and offers excellent support reviewing the training reports and providing valuable feedback.
I also like the fact that HIABC doesn't stop on getting their candidates through the licensing process, but also provides a good continued education program, so the members can stay current and enhance their knowledge and proficiency.
It all makes me well prepared to do my job today and I would definitely recommend HIABC to anyone new that wants to get a proper framework on their journey to become a home inspector.

I have been a home inspector in Kelowna BC since 2017. I have been a member of HIABC since I started my inspection business, and I feel that I would not be the inspector I am today without the support and training of this association and all its members. The education requirements to maintain membership and the more stringent scope of inspection have made the industry as a whole, more credible, and the inspectors more skilled and knowledgeable. Our annual conventions have been such a relationship building opportunity and learning from the other inspectors has been invaluable. The head office is there to help at the drop of a hat and provides guidance whenever needed.
