My family and I were in there for months, and I will forever be thankful for the wonderful staff and people I met there. They make it feel worth it to leave bad situations. They also helped us realize that what we were going through was actually domestic violence. I will never forget my stay there, even though it was chaotic and messy. The staff were always there 24/7 and made it clear they still would be even after our stay.
They are definitely the best shelter out there and provide things not many shelters do around here.
I definitely met some life long friends there.
A lot of the staff have also had personal experiences similar so it makes you feel understood. I was in the hardest times of my life and they still managed to bring light to the situation with me.

Well what can I say other than without the support of staff, and the wonderful, educated, empathetic employees I don't know how I would have made it through my crisis. This is not a shelter, this is a temporary home that provides support, counselling, and a new way of thinking! Thank you Anselma House.

First time I go their, I was dealt with through intercom, I understand the situation with the covid and what not, but there must be a different way to speak with people trying to help . The idea of not accepting used cloth or item for donation is absurd, they only accept new cloth with their tags . I don't think new cloth are more safe, use logic. I wish them all the best , and I wish I was able to help .

They took me in as their daughter and we became family with all the broken princesses. It was a good healing process. Sadly, they can't provide the same due to lack of donations.
