Really disappointed in the chosen location for this organization, which is now in a residential neighborhood. Since they’ve moved in, all of the neighbours and myself included have had their cars broken into, and items stolen from their property. It’s not a coincidence, as it specifically began when the organization moved in. This is a middle class neighborhood with people who work hard for what little money and property they have, and it’s sad seeing them be robbed and have that sense of security taken away. Since staff cannot control what the clients do, and won’t speak with them about the theft going on, we can only hope that eventually the location will be moved to where there’s less residential housing in such close proximity. I hope that’s a consideration going forward. I know that these clients have their own struggles, but stealing from struggling families isn’t okay either. There needs to be compassion and consideration by the organization for the families and elderly people who are impacted, not denial of what’s happening.

OneRoof changed the whole path of my life and is the ONLY reason I was in a position to become a mother. I may not have realized all of the amazing things that my worker, Pam, was paving the way for then, but I do now. And now, 4 years after I aged out of roof I am realizing all of the amazing positive things that started there. This is a service that saves lives, changes lives and cares about teens who don't care about themselves. I remember how frustrated I was with Pam when she wouldn't leave me alone. And now how thankful I am that she continued to try to build trust and a relationship with me and support me to make positive changes in my life. Thank-you.

First off the review written by Ms. Brianna should, as the saying goes, be stricken from the record. This shelter provides a safe haven to youth who are in need of exactly that; shelter. I find them to be very responsive and caring for the most part. However the reason why it only recieved 4 stars instead of 5, is the fact that some, not all of the staff can be quite... unprepared and quite frankly ignorant of certian mental health realities as well as unresponsive, at the very worst of times meaning 11 pm when the buses are not running.

But besides a few quirks, i find the service to be of unestimatable value to downtown Kitchener.

It's been quite some time since I aged out of roof and while I was there they were still on Queen Street however most of the staff that I know are gone but either way I had a great experience for the most part while I was there and they helped me so much to better my life in the past 10 years that I known people there and had support from them I'm not from Kitchener so when I found roof it was like a godsend and I'm still to this day so grateful for everything they have done for me if it wasn't for the supports and the help I got in there I wouldn't be able to have my daughter with me today so thank you to the staff of one roof for all your help over the years I hope that you guys continue for a long time supporting youth in need

My family and I live right across from this oneroof house. There are teens hanging out 24-7, taunting walker byes, in one day rhis day of may 10, 2017, the police were there twice due to the same teens assulting other teens to the point of very much blood and the second assult resulting into teen male being punched and unconsious and taken to hospital via ambualance. It appears every day police are there and something going wrong. We are a family of 4, young children who cant even fo for a walk in fear. This needs to stop. Please contact the local MPP to have this place removed from down rown kitchener and relocated to a more controlled area. Thank you
