Ron is a genuine asset to the Canadian Muay Thai community in this new era. His students are incredibly fortunate to have such a talented and committed teacher!

Instructor Ron and members were exceptionally welcoming. Members are clearly held to a high standard of skillfullness for progression. Instruction was excellent; clear demonstrations and attentive feedback were provided.

My boyfriend and I started jiu jitsu in December of 2022, and quickly got hooked! We’d both played contact sports growing up, but this was something completely different for us. Ron and Brandi are amazing coaches, are super friendly and welcoming, and make a great team! The gym atmosphere is friendly and supportive, higher belts are very willing to roll with and help newer members. 10/10 would recommend Foundry!

I found foundry a year ago and I'm so glad I did. I was definitely intimidated starting May Thai and Jujitsu as a woman in a male dominant sport but the coaches quickly put me at ease..They're all amazing coaches and always happy to help! They also have women's classes if you feel that is what you're more comfortable with! Great group of people to surround yourself with and train with. Everyone is very supportive and eager to make sure you learn and excel. I can't recommend Foundry enough!! I'm addicted 🙂

Ron and Brandi are exceptional practitioners of their respective arts, and it shows in the quality of the gym environment they've cultivated. Classes are the perfect mix of challenge and fun, with lots of personal attention if you need it and plenty of live sparring/rolling to test yourself with folks who all seem genuinely there to learn and help each other improve. I don't think I've ever practiced somewhere with so little ego floating around, and if you're a woman or 2SLGBTQ it's definitely a safe space to train.

I reached out on Instagram to inquire about the gym. Ron promptly got back to me and was super friendly. I travel and train at different gyms and can tell you this is a great gym to train BJJ at. Ron is super knowledgeable and offered a lot of quality technique and training. The other students are all super friendly and offered some great rolls. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking, you won’t be disappointed!

I moved from the mainland to the island and was so fortunate to find Foundry Martial Arts. I train Muay Thai privately and attend classes. Private training works both my strengths and weaknesses. Ron is an amazing trainer with a vast amount of knowledge that he delivers in a way to ensure success. Class size is small and adapted for all levels of experience. Whether it’s your first class or hundredth class, there is always something to learn and improve upon. I always walk out the door with a huge smile and a sense of accomplishment.
