I can't say enough good things about donating to the Habitat for Humanity Victoria ReStore in Westshore! Every time I drop off items, the friendly staff greets me and carries my donations away. Their helpfulness truly makes the process easy and enjoyable.

Such a wonderful place to browse around for unique and interesting items for reasonable prices. They do offer a military discount which is wonderful and they take donations of many good condition items. It helps Habitat For Humanity so you can always feel good going to the ReStore.

It's really sad to see people who look down based on your skin colour even today! I had been to this place and spoke to a nice lady who is the staff there. I showed them the picture of my wooden sofa with detachable cushions. I wanted to make sure that they would accept the donation as I need to take such a pain to get it all the way to the store. But when I got a confirmation that I can bring it in and it looks perfect and everything, I requested another friend of mine and took so much effort and paid him for his time to get the sofa to the store in next 30 minutes. At donation counter, this guy makes faces and calls someone else (assuming his reporting manager) who said that they don't have the space to have a three seater sofa, when I asked the lady about why I was informed to get it when they got have enough space, all I got was just a sigh and said may be try tomorrow again ? And then they just walk out on you. Such a pathetic place, I lost my respect towards the organisation! No customer value whatsoever!

We live almost an hour's drive from this store. On July 10, 2024 I phoned ahead about bringing in two good-quality wood bed frames and was told they have five places for bedframes. When we got there, a different person said they didn't have room for the beds. No word of apology. They are disorganized and rude.

Edited to reply to owner's response: This was the Langford store. The person at receiving did not say there was anything wrong with the beds, just that they did not have room for more beds. The problem was that the person who answered the phone when I called gave me the wrong information. The person we originally spoke to came to receiving and confirmed that they gave us the wrong information. It was nothing to do with assessing the quality of the donation.

I like shopping second hand, but some staff there are totally unfriendly and unhelpful. Was there today and a staff member was so rude when I asked a question about their refund policy that I was afraid to even ask my second question. But I did, and few exchanges later, each one was equally rude, that I left the store without purchasing a $125 item. Went back and asked for his name, Simon. Incase you go, that's him. Too bad they lost a customer today. I see from their reviews, I am not the only one to experience poor customer service.

I tried to donate some of my light fixtures. I understand that I came five minutes before closure, but I didn’t see any desire of accepting my donation. Instead I was told that I would need to pay 30 dollars for some kind of estimate. I wasn’t pleased with service there.
