I've taken so many inspiring classes at Sitka, starting during the pandemic, for the past five years. The classes have all been taught by working stage and screen professionals who are perceptive, knowledgeable, caring and FUN! I learned how to overcome years of self body shaming by taking on the challenge of on screen acting as an adjunct to many years of stage acting only. One of the highlights for me has been the Improvisation program. There are so many life lessons that Allyson has brought to class through her encouragement to each of us as individual performers and as a team. Tonight we put on a 45 min Advanced Improv program for an enthusiastic audience that proved to each of us that 9 strangers can work together to surmount mountains! Thanks to Allyson, Mandy and the whole Sitka crew for helping transform lives while showing us how to let loose and play!

Sitka Stage & Screen is a fantastic studio! It’s owned and operated by 3 amazing women who all boast impressive resumes! I was in an Adult Deep Dive class with Allyson Leet, and she’s incredible. she's an excellent teacher, tailoring the course to the students to maximize our learning while being so encouraging when everyone is trying something new and vulnerable. I took a dive this spring and enrolled in the Adult Acting Exploration Class and what a hoot. It was so much fun and educational and so good for my aging brain to step outside my comfort zone. Allyson is a talented teacher, encouraging, funny, lively, calm, patient and she picked up on our individual styles within our first session.
