I was traveling down the island to catch a ferry when I broke down near BD Auto on a Friday afternoon. I thought I was stuffed and would have to get a hotel for 3 nights in Courtenay before I could get my truck fixed. I was expecting to hear “We can’t get to it until next week”. Instead, what does Brian say “Sure, no problem. We are going to fix it. You don’t need a hotel. If I need to stay late, I will. We are going to get you out of here”. Wow. It wasn’t expected. Brian, Nicole and team far exceeded expectations. I am so grateful, I am humbled, what wonderful people. I am inspired to help others by their kindness.

I have been taking my family’s vehicles to BD Auto and Diesel for almost 10 years for things such as regular maintenance, custom exhaust, complete diesel engine rebuild and many other services. Super happy with the outcome of my Hydra tuner chip on my 7.3 diesel.
Staff was super friendly and very accommodating to fit me into their busy schedule. Felt like family when asking questions and dealing with my truck over the Phone .

Very good experience, I called with an issue on my truck in the morning, was able to bring down right away. The technician confirmed very quickly the problem and explained thoroughly what needed to be done and how it would be completed. Initial contact was with the Receptionist she was very knowledgeable and friendly and good to deal with.

I have dealt with BD for 3 years.first with my 1ton diesel and now with my 1/2 ton gasser. Always get great service at competitive rates. They give a review of any problems that require fixing now or in the future. Highly recommend them.

The crew over at BD auto and diesel are fantastic! My wife and I were in from out of town and had some issues with my truck, they got it in and had a good look at it and were as honest as you can be about the problems with the truck. They were very detailed on the issues and what has to be done with the truck for it to be problem free and reliable. The staff were great to deal with and very nice people! Highly recommend this place for anything diesel!

While the mechanical service was very good once it got started, there was a distinct lack of communication. The vehicle was brought in on a Monday as a referral from the GM dealer as the dealer could not get to it for at least 10 days. A call was made to BD with assurance it would fixed right away. It was not serviced until Friday and daily attempts to find out when vehicle would be ready got a reply that it was next. I would have been OK if I had been told it would not be ready until Friday. Not being a resident , I had ferry reservations that had to be repeatedly changed and relatives on standby to take me to pick the vehicle up. It was difficult to plan anything in anticipation of getting the call the unit was ready.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Just need to be more honest and communicate better
