Great charity that picks up unwanted household items! Makes it simple and easy by offering a pick up service to your door!

A good charity to take your unwanted items to. Google maps only takes you to the entrance of the complex though. You drive all the way to the end of the building that has Skeeter's cafe, and it's on the right.
They are good about helping you unload your donations and take anything packed well in boxes.

I told these people about ten years ago to NEVER call me & to remove my number cuz they called every week - my life doesn't change that much except now my husband of 33 years is dead!

Now out of the blue you start phoning again, really!? I have two charity boxes near my house that amazingly I can walk to....I'd rather drop off after the collection truck has been so my stuff doesn't end up on my neighbours back.

By the way, WHERE is the Big Brothers store to buy things from? I used to have a St Vincent Du Paul place near home but they closed cuz ppl were stealing too much! Same as a women's association thrift store that had an 'antique & collectables' window for bidding and the rest of donations. Last I saw their front window had been smashed in and emptied out so not worth it for them either.

DTES gets a 5 ton truck load FULL of stuff delivered every week, put into piles of men/women & ppl select what they want. Ppl just sell what they've picked out so no real need to steal from second-hand stores....Women's Charity & low-income housing association on DTES (yes, the CEO was given heave-ho, her husband operated LARGE low income housing operative, you'll remember the story about these two, was in the paper for weeks) has a weekly bingo game where ppl win cosmetics, shampoos, nice new shoes from donations the collect - yep, for sale at the flea market.

You'll recognize the donations you've made to any one of these - and many other charitable organizations - or one of three 'high-end VV stores on Granville, at Nelson, West 6th & West 15th. Your stuff coming right back to you so if you really like it you can buy it back again.....

They will come to your house and pickup your items for you. Just simply leave them on your doorstep and they will pick up, even if you aren’t around. Have to book a time a couple weeks or so in advance. So easy! You will get follow up calls and emails to remind you to book again, which is rather nice if you need the reminder to stay on top of spring cleaning and regular closet clean outs.

Scheduled via their calendar online for donations pick up, we completely understand that due to the snowy conditions, drivers weren't available to come pick up the donations. It's been 1 week without snow & still, no Big Brothers Driver showed up to pick up our bags of donations. Unfortunately, strangers have actually gone through our donations & taken almost everything & left only a couple of items. We will be donating to other charities from now on. No commitment & no dedication shown by this non profit organization.

They are doing an amazing job! Big Brothers accept all clothing and small household items. Their mentorship program is supported by these donations. The best part is they pickup the donations!

Great and convenient! This centre has always been my first choice to donate brand name clothes for children. NW location has been easily accessible for me to donate since I was very young. I can not wait to contribute more and be affiliated with organizations associated with big brothers♡

Was able to book a pick up of my donations on a day of my choosing. All the instructions were on their site. They were clear and easy to understand. Great experience.
