As much as it feels wrong to write a negative review about a charity shop, I am going to echo what some other reviewers have said: If you're not in the preferred demographic, they just ignore you.

I walked around with a piece of clothing to try on while I browsed and no one acknowledged me. But those who 'look' like they 'belong' there were greeted and asked if they wanted to try their choices on. I even stood right by two women at the jewellery case and neither of them even looked at me.

I understand the shop is run by volunteers. And the store is beautifully arranged and kept. But why the attitude? The HOB is a thrift shop, not a Gucci store.

This is store is clean and has some cute pieces (I got one of my favourite dresses here).
However if you’re under 30 be prepared to get the stink eye. On two occasions (out of my three total times visiting) I’ve walked in and been completely ignored, only for them to happily greet the next senior who walked in. I would come in here more if the vibes were better… but still worth it to occasionally find some cute pieces

All the volunteers ladies are so sweet and very helpful . They do have good collections but bit costly too .

The review by "Frankie Grandma Leung" is fake and most likely written by a volunteer at the Hobs store after receiving two bad reviews below. Also, if you look this is their only review.

The review by "Crystal Huang", I experienced the same thing with my friend just before closing. I walked in with my friend, and one of the older ladies with light brown hair got upset as soon as we walked in, saying that they were closing in 10 mins. Her tone of voice was condescending and overbearing as she raised her voice saying, "we're closed girls". I figured they both thought that we were younger than we were - either way it's unacceptable. The other lady had to convince her to let us in. However, there were other customers shopping around. I politely asked about a piece of clothing that I had previously seen at the store as it was now gone. When I asked one of the women working there she said, "you learn your lesson next time" in a snarky voice , basically insinuating I should have been faster to buy it.
I support the hospice society but I will no longer come here as I feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable. I even donated a beautiful designer purse here two years ago. No more.

The women there are all so caring. You will never go home with something that doesn't look absolutely fabulous on you. They know what looks good and they Care about you.

All the clothes are carefully curated. Almost all of the clothes are designer. The prices are amazing. And the selection incredible.

Everything from casual to snazzy nights out.

From young hipster to hipsters of a certain age! Mix and match many styles to come up with your own unique look.

SO fun. whenever I need a little lift in my spirits, I head on over and play!

I always leave with something gorgeous and one of a kind.

Please Go There! You will be SO glad you did!

The lady work there was so snobby , I walked in10 mins before the store was closing , there were still 5 people in the store browsing the stuff . The lady didn’t greet at all , when I started browsing ,then she came to tell me store will be close in 10 mins.
I asked for to show me the LV back pack in the display then she told me that’s very expensive and give me the look.
I never been treated like this , she is rude and snobby. Will never go back to there again.

My absolute favourite thrift store! I’ve gotten so many amazing pieces there. One of the volunteers was kind enough to sew a button on a dress I bought from there which was above and beyond sweet. I’d much rather pay $40 for a coat here that is in mint condition than go to a value village and pay pretty much the same price.
