I would give them a zero star if I could. This newspaper does not care about anything other than views. My mother died in a MVC a couple months ago and the Westlock News proceeded to post a photo of her destroyed car. My husband expressed his concerns, in attempt to protect my family from seeing the image, and they refused to remove it. What is wrong with a generic photo for the purpose of the article? Nothing, that is how every other media outlet reported it. I saw images of my mothers destroyed car that she died in barely after being notified by the police. Her car was recognizable. Nobody should find out about a family member passing like that. As a minor I was the victim of a crime, they printed the names of relatives that clearly indicated who I was to the public. This is not legal. This news paper is completely unethical. I have no respect for them. What triggered my review now? Another MVC where a young woman died in Westlock county and this paper once again posted the image of the vehicle. No family member should have to see that plastered everywhere. I would like to note that MANY members of the public expressed their concerns with the image when my mom passed, they told my family there was nothing they could do and that they would not remove the image.

Not sure how a place has business when they’re close for lunch on uncertain time....... bad enough when close for lunch but when you’re form out of town and you in town Over lunch time and you need to quick swing by to verify an ad you’ve got going on paper and they’re closed,,, makes for a very messed up day.... specially when at 1:00 they’re still nobody around and doors are closed and your in a hurry.....!!!!!! Oops how’s 1:30pm and still sitting here and waiting....!!!!!!
