Great food. Huge portions. Awesomely friendly staff. Got dinner for 6 with enough left overs for another full meal for all 6 for just over $100. Well worth the trip out!

The meat that is served at this location comes from the small farmers in the area. It is dense and filling and very unique. The garlic, is great and the french fries are home made, something you do not find very often. The garlic pork bites and hand pinched perogies were great to take home too!

The brisket Reuben sandwich was amazing, the turkey not so much, wish we had tried the Ukrainian plate as the table next to us had that and looked deadly!!! Next time for sure.

Great place to stop right off the highway, used to be the Maple Tree Restaurant back in the day. I had the ‘redneck reuben’ sandwich and it was very tasty, as was the side caesar salad. The fries were a tad bit too salty and the coleslaw was cut too large, but those are just minor complaints. They have some various goods from small businesses for sale in the restaurant, take a look!

I’ve been waiting to try this place since it opened. Today, July 13th/22 it happened that work had me in the area for lunchtime. Gathering Place did not disappoint. I had the Farmhouse burger, well seasoned, juicy and just the right amount of condiments. The fries stand on their own and needed nothing aside from a sprinkle of salt for my taste. If you’ve been thinking about trying the Gathering Place Co-Op out, stop thinking and get to doing, you won’t regret it.

This was our first time here and although we learned it was a new menu and chef from just a week ago we’re not impressed. It is now family style meals which was fine but the portions were not large at all, especially for the price. The schnitzel was paper thin and lacked flavour, the coleslaw was too chunky and the apple cider flavour was over powering (and cost an astounding $17), the pasta was good but not warm when we got it. Overall we felt it is overpriced mediocre home cooked meals and likely won’t be back.

We had heard great things about this place. But we had a terrible experience. I took a bus load of seniors there on a Thursday night. There was 11 of us. They charged us 18% gratuity and didn’t tell the people so they paid tips on top of tips. They changed the restaurant menu to some kind of family thing so you couldn’t get a nice one person meal with salad and a side order and it was ridiculously expensive. I had a schnitzel and it was a overly deep fried, dry, flavorless with 3 tablespoons of mushroom soup on it. Three of our party had to take there food in take out trays because they couldn’t get it made in an hour and a half and we where on a schedule.

Great service, nice atmosphere and decor. Food was amazing. We had to stop here twice during our trip it was soo good.
