Was in search of a gym to join as a newcomer to the area. Was not a great first impression. Stunk of hockey equipment. No real signage to even locate the gym. Passed a bunch of closed off dark rooms. Building was mostly empty, minus the hockey teams. Wondered if the gym was even open.

Finally find the gym, and it's very small for a rec center gym, very quiet, and dark, despite the windows. It just felt cold and ick. There was about 3 people there in total, and loud hockey kids all roaring downstairs. Pool is in a separate building. No steam rooms or other perks (from what I was told.)

Eh. Not the vibe I want in a fitness environment. Nice hockey arena though. As a once-time-hockey-mom, I could appreciate that.

It takes visiting other leisure centres in Calgary, to appreciate what we have with this facility and its staff.

A++ in clean, welcoming, amenities, and the price is right to work out in the gym.

We are very lucky to have people who care about the place where work and play come together.

While in town for the annual ATBA Heritage Classic Jamboree, we needed a place to shower. At $3 per person, this was perfect!

THERE HAS BEEN NO HOT WATER FOR SHOWERS FOR THE BETTER PART OF THE HOCKEY SEASON. THERE HAS BEEN MANY COMPLAINTS WITH NO CORRECTIVE ACTIONS. ITS A MAJOR UTILITY THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED.
This was a poorly designed renovation. The newly built dressing rooms are not very practical. The partition wall in the middle of the dressing rooms cuts off team mates to the point where you visually cant see them. It also makes it hard to hear when coaches or players are trying to make games plans and chalk talks.
Dressing room 5 is useless, but for some reason the older demographic teams get scheduled to use it. YOU CAN ONLY FIT 7 PLAYERS MAX IN IT. This rink only use to be 4 dressing rooms and it worked just fine before these renovations. Quit putting older kids and mens hockey teams in dressing room 5.
Thats what happens when you award the main sponsorship to Christenson Group of Companies.

The facility is huge!! Only complaint is the bathrooms need a major upgrade to hold more people especially when it's busy!
