I was stressed and terrified of the impending doom of homelessness, something I have experienced before.
Marie destroyed that doom in
2 min.
I received more help and support than I was hoping for.
The other veterans there were welcoming, inclusive and supportive. It was clear to me what I was missing in my life, the brotherhood that I had in the military. The attitude that there wasn't anything that we tackle together. I wasn't alone anymore.
Whether you're looking for help or looking to give help, don't hesitate.

Happy to know I won't be homeless again.

Sad to say as a huge supporter of the veterans association food bank as how bad we were treated by some horrible woman.. I understand it’s a stressful time but they definitely need to check their volunteers attitudes .. will be taking a break from donations we believe in the cause and always want to help veterans but this didn’t feel good

This place is a blessing. I love the attention of the cashier lady but yesterday I was disappointed by a man in a very rude manner who took me out of the business since I was missing 15 minutes at 5 pm when I passed by looking for some pants for my work when the young woman entered. She said it won't be long before closing, always kind, I told my wife and she told me that there was another occasion, also in a rude way, a white lady mistreated her. Please put people who love serving since we are immigrants in this country and these situations are not pleasant.
Thank You

I have always been impressed by this Thrift Store and the Association, but when I stopped in yesterday, after not being there for a while, I was blown away by the improvements!! It was so well organized and filled with treasures clearly displayed on the walls and rows of new shelving. It was impossible not to do the whole "tour". Kudos to the Staff and Volunteers who regularly keep this a viable source of support for Veterans and their families!! If you haven't yet, you should really check this place out!!

The official Veteran's food bank and Thrift shop in Calgary. The other thrift store on Bonaventure Dr advertises are false it is privately owned and does not give proceeds to the Veteran's Association. This has been verified by the only one at 820-28 St N.E.

This is a great resource for veterans helping veterans a wonderful community support.
They have a food bank hamper program, support for veterinary services for Veteran's furry companions, a temporary homelessness program plus a community thrift store (1/2 off Fridays 👍) with all proceeds helping veterans.
The thrift store is wonderful, lots of great items - clothing, jewelry, housewares, pet accessories, some furniture, DVDs, cd's, and a lovely little bookstore all run by volunteers who are super nice and helpful.
The thrift store is a little hidden gem, far better than some others and they take community donations of gently used items.
Stop in and browse and bring a donation to help our veteran community or volunteer as extra help is always appreciated.
Such a feel good place, love visiting!

A great place for Vets. Groceries, clothes, household stuff, etc for them. I'll be donating all my stuff here from now on. Plus they've got lots of stuff for sale for us non vets in their thrift store! I found some terrific buys there! THANK YOU VETERANS! ❤️
