Such a great experience to get my baby boy! Even though it was the busy holiday season they got back to me quick and so helpful with the process. My sweet boy was happy and healthy. Highly recommend!

Our second time adopting a cat. Like last time, she was pregnant. Attached are pictures of the kittens! The cat is feral, though, and has scratched us. We don’t care though, scratches are nothing compared to kittens.

I really wanted to adopt through Meow, and was told they have a trial period, which is perfect because I have another cat, and an organization that works with cats must know sometimes a pairing just WONT work. However once explained it became clear the “trial period” offered isn’t actually a trial period. If things go bad, they won’t guarantee they can take their cat back. So it’s not a trial period, if you adopt from here, make sure you’re ok with working through any issues or problems that may arise, because you may not have any other options. It’s sad because I wanted very badly to give an old cat a forever home, and would have put the effort into making it work, but being told I might be stranded in a bad situation without anywhere to turn even after I do everything in my power to make it work made it an impossible option. Don’t tell people you have a trial period if you don’t, it just gets their hopes up when it’s not accurate.

Adopted from MEOW in 2022. On adoption day the lady who assisted was not pleasant, helpful but very business like and not friendly. I chose to adopt from MEOW on the recommendation of a friend who volunteered there. Since then MEOW has lost many volunteers due to the way volunteers are treated by the new volunteer coordinator in 2023-24. Having volunteered a few shifts there myself it makes me sad. MEOW used to be a fun and welcoming space. I hope it will be again one day. The work the society does is important. So is treating volunteers with respect. I love my MEOW adopted cat and am grateful he’s in my life. I encourage everyone to rescue, foster, and adopt cats. Just maybe don’t volunteer here for now.

MEOW - Thanks for your reply. Sadly someone who is administering your Facebook page has blocked me so I’m no longer able to follow your progress towards your goal. I feel like this blocking of a past adoptee and volunteer from your social media further represents the shift in leadership at the organization. I’m hoping this is all just temporary and at some point I’ll be able to once again follow your updates and consider supporting the organization again. For now I’m choosing to put my concerns in writing to the president of the society.

I adopted my sweet Cheeto just over 2 years ago now from Meow, and could not be more happy! A very wonderful organization that has been nothing but gracious and helpful with the adoption process and even following up periodically afterward. The employees and volunteers are always able to answer any questions you might have, and are very helpful in guiding you in the right direction when it comes to finding the best fit for a kitty companion. I have nothing but good things to say about Meow, and personally believe they are the best cat adoption agency in Calgary.

Excellent organization that takes good care of the cats in its system. They heavily rely on donations, so be sure to donate cat food every now and then if you can. They'd really appreciate it.

I'm so grateful to have found my little Yuffie through MEOW Foundation! After my 12 year old cat passed away last year I've had such a huge hole in my heart. In June I decided it was time to find another furry companion. I saw Yuffie (formerly Mandu) on MEOWs website and instantly fell in love! I put in an application right away and they called me within an hour!! I answered some questions and they gave me some information about Yuffie. We set up a date to visit her at her foster home. Totally smitten after meeting her, I informed MEOW immediately that I would love to adopt her. Her foster home texted me and said I could take her home the same day!! Such a wonderful experience this was. The adoption process wasn't complicated at all. Yuffie is more than what I was wanting in a companion. I was not expecting such a loving, affectionate cat. My heart is full again. She is going to be spoiled for the rest of her life!! Thank you MEOW Foundation!!
