Closer to Home provides a wide range of services to a diverse population. We participated in their Family Matters program and we found the teachings to be extremely helpful. The service we received was at no cost to us and came at a time when our family was in desperate need of support. While our challenges are not entirely behind us, all members of our family feel better equipped going forward. Big shout out to our Family Specialist (now a Coordinator) Michѐle, who was personable, very knowledgeable, and came with a wealth of highly relevant lived experience. We highly recommend this organization and the services they provide.

I would not recommend to seek help from this agency. Based on my personal experience with the support worker, they lack empathy, training in responding to sensitive situations. The worker took advantage of the situation to showcase her concern that only benefited her ( closer to home worker), hence put myself further deep in the situation.

Excellent company, all staff great, very professional, very pleasant to work with.
We spent several months installing IT, CCTV, sound system, access control, alarm system and nurse call buttons. They were amazing to work with. They paid on time, and always grateful.
Many thanks to Erin, David, Dana, Luke, all the caring stuff upstairs, and many thanks to all rhe office staff.

For a social agency that serves vulnerable people, I found the reception to be quite cold and indifferent. I tried several times to get some groceries, and met with much bureaucracy, blame shifting, and unreturned calls. Three stars is generous, but I think the front line workers are poorly trained, and are most likely trained and managed by narcissistic women, who have no clue what it is like to be poor and vulnerable.
