After that storm in early June, we got water in our basement, we did some investigating, ripped some finished walls down and found a crack in our wall big enough for me to fit my fingers into up to my 2nd knuckle. From numerous recommendations, AAA Solid Foundations Ltd kept coming as one of the first names mentioned.

I contacted them through their automated system on their website and after a very quick response, Robin came out within a day to look at the issue. They arrived and took a look at things, quickly formulated a plan, explained to us what (and why) they'd do (dig a trench, install weeping tile and another sump pump as well as cover the wall with a dimpled membrane), advised us how much more of the wall needed to be removed (as well as totally taking out another wall) and followed up with a very reasonable quote.

Once we started removing more of the wall, we noticed even more seepage damage all along the south wall and even extending to the corner and along the west wall. We totally removed the entire wall on the west and south walls and found that our foundation was badly cracked all along the west wall and was starting to bow inwards. We contacted AAA again and they came out again and assessed the situation. They advised that they'd have to extend the trench/weeping tile further along the south wall and would now be putting the sump pump in the corner and they would also need to install 5 braces all along the west wall. The supplied us with a new quote that was thankfully much more reasonable than we were expecting it to be.

We did all the demo work and got the basement ready for them as per their specifications, but they did everything else. They arranged for the Engineer to come out, they applied for and kept on top of all the permits, and kept us in the loop about everything.

When it came time to do the work, they were on time and did all the work within the time frame specified and the finished result was nothing short of excellent!

I cannot stress enough how professional, knowledgeable, friendly and well they did the job. I couldn't possibly recommend this company more than I already do. There may be other good companies out there, but I will always recommend AAA Solid Foundations Ltd first to anyone who needs them.

Update: This company did all this work for us in August. Since then we finally got an application in to PDAP for the damage caused by the rains. in December, some questions came up that we were unable to answer or provide the required information for. I sent an email in to Steve at AAA and got a reply the next morning advising that he had just sent the information that I needed via email. We were very impressed with their company's customer service, yet again.

Furthermore, because of the PDAP application, an adjuster was recently sent out to examine the basement and they said that AAA did a very good job of the bracing based on how well they installed it not just against the wall but how well it was put it into the ground. They (along with us) were very impressed.

If anyone needs any kind of foundation repair, I highly recommend this company. Thanks again to Steve, Robin and the rest of the crew for your efforts.

This company is definitely my go-to for any foundation work I need done. My 90+ year old house has the typical basement problems you see in homes of that era. AAA Solid Foundations came out and worked on the two walls that had most severe issues and did this:
-cracks sealed with one wall "dimpled" to prevent any future seepage
-trenched along the wall (interior) with -weeping tiles installed
-braces installed
-a new sump pump installed

And I have peace of mind after seeing the care and attention that went into it all. Even the City inspector said "Excellent work, as always". That speaks volumes. The workers were pleasant & respectful, patient with my curiosity & questions, and had the work completed in under four days. All-in-all, I'm more than happy with the entire process and results, and highly recommend this company.

I was really impressed with AAA Solid Foundations and the work they did on my basement. After getting some water in my basement, AAA came out and worked on the section of wall where the water seepage was occurring. The work involved sealing the cracks along the wall, adding a waterproof “dimpled” membrane, installing weeping time, braces, and a new sump pump. The one challenge I faced is that the wall requiring work was right next to the heating system (boiler) for my house – leaving no room for the braces. As I was planning on replacing the boiler anyways, this proved to be an ideal time to have it removed. Yet, I also recognized it was going to take some time for this work to occur. However, Steve was very understanding, and AAA was able work around my plumber’s schedule. Overall, I was quite happy with not only the work done, but the fact they were so accommodating throughout the entire process. This just shows the high level of service they provide to their customers. I would definitely recommend AAA to anyone looking for foundation repair.
